Contests » How do I enter contests?

Under the "Riders" tab, under "Contests", you will be able to view all the current contests offered, as long as your a Gold Rider Member. Contests may vary from Best Profile Pic, Best Trip Journal, Best Blog, Find the Fake Ad, etc. Winners will be announced through CPG news, and through the newsletter.

Friends » How can I make friends? I'm a new rider and would like someone to ride with.

Go under the "Friends" tab, under "Make Friends" and you can view every member's profile. You can search for a buddies name, specific gear or a location. If you find someone you want to be friends with, you can "Add as a Friend". All your friends will be able to see your activity on the site through the "Friend Feed" on the upper right hand corner of the page. Or you can communicate with other members through the "Blackboard" or through the "Forum". All your friends will be listed under the "Friends" tab, under "View Friends" or on the right hand side of your profile page. Or join a club, under the "Riders" Tab, under "Find Clubs", and see what they have to offer.
 

Logging In » I can not Log In to the Site, it keeps taking me to the Log In page?

Ensure that your password and email address correct.

Only one email address may be used for each CPG Account. If you have used 1 email address for 2 accounts send us a contact note on the contact us page for additional help.

The site log in is case sensitive. Also 1’s (ones) look like l’s (small L’s) and vice versa.

The CPG site requires that cookies are enabled (accepted) under your privacy / security settings. To do this click on your tools button in your browser and check your privacy and security settings.

Clear your browsers cache, history, passwords etc. Click your browsers tool button and delete all history. Cick your browsers help button for help on performing this action.

Download the most up-to-date version of your Internet browser.

Reset your password on the log in screen and follow the instructions on the email that you will receive.

Try logging in on different computers, this will allow you to reset your password and also verify if the issue is with the settings on your computer or with the site.

If none of the above correct your log in issue use the contact us page we will respond within 24 hours 

Logging In » Logging In Errors Using Norton Safe Web

We have recently requested that Norton Safe Web approve us as a listed Safe Web site. We have found out that if you are running Norton Safe Web your password and login may not work properly due to Nortons software. If you are having issues logging in and use Norton Safe Web, disable Safe Web and try to log in again. If this still has not solved the issue see our other FAQ's about logging In before contacting us.

The CPG site is fully certified for our users safety both PCI and SQL certificatied by Trustwave. We are one of only 300+ Canadian companies that accept Interac online through our checkout and are listed on the Interac Site.

My Account » I have a free rider account, how do I upgrade to gold?

Upgrading your account from free to gold is easy. Start by logging in and clicking the "My Garage" link at the top of the screen, you should then "Edit" your garage. Click the "Membership" tab, you will now see your membership status, simply follow the directions from here to upgrade your free account to gold. You can pay by credit card or Interac.
 

My Account » How do I change my username? I didn't realize it was my profile name.

Unfortunately, the only way to change your user name is to Contact Us. Otherwise, it would be really confusing to us all, if you just keep changing your identity. But no problem, just let us know, and we'd be happy to help you out.

My Account » So I signed up for a free rider account, now what do I do?

Welcome to the CPG! Go to the top right corner of the page and click on "My Garage". This is your profile page, where you tell us about you, your passions, and your gear.

My Account » How do I post my event?

Under the "New and Reviews" tab, under "Events", click on "Add an Event". Go through the form, loading in all the pertinent information, and a photo if you want. It will be posted on the Calendar. And all your events will show up on the right hand side of your profile page.

My Garage » What should I put in

Tell us about yourself. Who are you? What experiences have you had? What amazing trips have you experienced? What toys do you have? What toys do you dream about? Load up some pics, write a blog, write a trip journal.

My Garage » How do I load gear in

In the top right corner, under "My Garage", click the "Edit" button, under the "Gear" tab. Tell us about your ride and post a picture. At this time, you can't edit your gear once you've submitted (though we are working on fixing that), so if you don't add a photo now, just delete your entry and redo your gear posting. Once your gear has been loaded, we will link it to our showroom. This will enable you to rate and review your gear. Also, if someone loads your gear into the Classifieds section, it will link to the showroom page, which links to your gear. So if someone is interested in buying that gear, they can ask you all about yours. Which is why you should just write a review on it....make it all easier for everyone.

My Garage » Why should I do a review or rate my gear?

Your gear is linked to our showroom page (click on the the showroom tab below your gear if you don't believe us). If someone loads your gear into the Classified section, it also links to the showroom page. So if someone wants to find out more about that product for sale, they can contact you to ask you about it. So if you just write a review, and tell everyone what you think about it.....or just rate it, it'll make it easier for everyone.

My Garage » How do I load a profile picture?

Under "My Garage", in the top right hand corner of the page, click the "Edit" button. Click on the "Photos" tab. Browse your photo that you would like to load and make sure the "Album:" says "Profile Pictures", give it a description and agree to the photo terms. You can load more than one Profile Picture in your Album. Photo sizing must be between 30px and 2meg, and it must be a .jpeg.

My Garage » How do I load more photos of my toys?

Under "My Garage", in the upper right hand corner of the page, click on the "Edit" button. Under the "Photos" tab, "Create an Album" giving it a name and a location. "Browse" for your photo, making sure the "Album:" is selected on the name of the album you created. Give it a description and "Submit", agreeing to the photos terms. You can further "Edit the Album" under "Create an Album" selecting the photo that you want as your Album Cover and deleting any unwanted photos. Photo size must be between 30px and 2meg and must be a .jpeg.

My Garage » How can I get rid of my old gear?

As a Gold Rider Member, you will get 2 free classifed ads to post your old stuff on the Classifieds. Only Gold Riders, Dealers and Suppliers can sell their gear on the CPG site. Under the "Classifieds" tab, click on "Sell Stuff". Follow through the form, selecting your category, giving your item a catchy headline, a description and the asking price. If you aren't using a free ad, the asking price of your product will determine how much your ad will cost. Load a photo of your item and pay for your ad if needed. The posted ad is good for one month, and you will get an e-mail reminder to renew your ad, once your month is almost up. All the items in your "Store" wil be listed on the right hand side of your profile page.

My Garage » What's my Blog?

Under "My Garage", on the upper right hand corner of the page, click the "Edit" button. Under the "Blog" tab you can rant and rave about the road monsters on your last trip, about the weather that prevents you from enjoying your new toy, or about anything you want. But be careful, all your "Friends" will be able to see and comment on your "Blog". You may not want to rant about their driving skills.

My Garage » Adding Video

Once logged into the site click on your "garage" top right corner, then once click on the "edit" button, click "Pics & Vids", add a new album below the video section. All videos need to be from You Tube so find your video in another internet windo and copy and paste the embeded file from You Tube on the right side of the video and paste it into your garage, then add a description, click the agree to the terms and finally click submit. You have successfully produced and posted your first CPG-TV video for the world to see.

Road Trips » What's the Trip Journal for?

The "Trip Journal" enables you to be a contributing journalist to the CPG site. You can tell us about your last trip, the places to go see, the roads to avoid because of construction. The great campsite that you stayed at. Anything you want. Someone else you may be planning that same trip (perhaps on our coming soon - Trip Planner) will appreciate knowing the pitfalls to avoid or to know that sites to make time for. We're all in this together. Also, from time to time, their will be Trip Journal contests, so get descriptive and creative.
