The Canadian Powersports Group "CPG", privacy statement, was developed to provide a solid commitment to the privacy of the users and members of the site. How the CPG handles and treat's our member and users personal information which is volunteered and or collected through the site is very important to us and as such our policies will be updated from time to time and always made available here on the site. CPG's privacy Policy governs the collection, storage, protection and use of personal information from the site by all visitors, users and members.

The privacy policy applies to the actions of the CPG, it's employees and or agents but does not cover the actions of third parties including companies and individuals that are not owned by, partnered or employed by or with the CPG, this includes user / members of the CPG site and websites that are linked or referring to or from the original CPG site that is governed by this privacy policy. Once you have become a member of the CPG site, you are provided the functionality to edit your Account Information and personal preferences at any time. Only members that sign up through the CPG login are required to provide any personal information, and this information is provided voluntarily, the site is available to the public with out providing any personal information.

Once a membership has been opened by you, you may request to have it and all personal information removed and the membership deleted at any time, please refer to the Terms and Conditions to have your membership cancelled.

As a visitor to the site you are not required to provide or reveal any personal information until such time as you decide to become a member of the site and or receive newsletters, updates and or enter into other services and promotions that may be offered by the CPG from time to time. The information that the CPG collects will include personal information, contact information and might include information that you provide inside of your member profile pages. CPG might use your contact information in order to establish and maintain your membership account, reply to emails and requests, provide services that you have requested or agreed that you might be interested in being notified about directly and to provide you with information about new services, updates and notifications. Through your voluntary log in and or use of the site, you consent to the collection and use of all personal information which is governed by and in accordance with the CPG privacy policy which will be updated from time to time and as such you further acknowledge that all subsequent log ins or use by you constitute your acknowledgement to the then current privacy policy of the CPG.

The CPG only holds and stores the personal information of its members to provide a service which the member has requests or for the period of time as identified and or required by the laws of the province of Alberta and or Canada, should you believe that the CPG is holding or storing your personal information outside of these limits please contact us and we will address your inquiry in a timely and professional manner. The CPG only stores and or retains personal information for the purposes identified above or as required by law.

All CPG memberships, accounts and the personal information attached to them are password-protected; this is for both your privacy and security and also the integrity and security of the site. The CPG also secures and protects your personal information and the site with security measures that may include firewalls, access control and other protection and security devices and or software to enhance the protection of the members and their information. The CPG site is certified, in compliance with and uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions, the areas of the site which are covered by these items are identified through out the site.

The CPG regularly receives, monitors and records information and data that is acquired through our servers, this includes non-personal information which is recorded from your browser this is including but is not limited to your IP address, the pages you have visited and or requested, cookies, links and visits, this information is not linked in any way to the personal information we may collect. The CPG may use this electronic information to assess and change the site visuals, content, formats, address advertising concerns, handle traffic and improve the site in general.

The CPG may be required to share and or disclose certain information to certain third parties working directly or indirectly with, for or through the CPG for the purpose of providing certain services of the site and or these agents or third parties, this may include personal information. This may include when a member joins a profile and or network and or submits a request for information from within the site. If the request is from or through a third party site then the CPG will only share personal information with these parties whose privacy policies are consistent and inline with that of the CPG or that have agreed to the terms of the then current CPG privacy policy regarding our members and their personal information.

The CPG through its advertising policy allows third party advertisers and partner members to place, set and access their cookies on your computer. These cookies are not for use of or connected to any personal information of the CPG members and or users of the site and are subject to the privacy policies of the specific third party site. The CPG assumes no responsibility and or liability for this usage and it is recommended that all CPG members and users consult the respective third part sites for information on their respective privacy, terms of use and other policies that may affect their use of the third party site. The CPG does not review, check or verify the policies of third parties to the CPG; this is the sole responsibility of the member or user.

Further, the CPG may disclose your personal information in certain circumstances including when or if;
